This stunning vintage Italian hand-blown glass bauble is both rare and collectible; it is believed to date from the 1950s or earlier. Adorned with gorgeous hand-painted flowers and leaves, it has a lovely semi-translucent frosted finish, diffusing light beautifully. It features its original gold coloured cap, which is marked ‘Italy’. I’ve finished it with a lovely hand-dyed peace-silk ribbon with delicate frayed edges in a deep-berry colour. The bauble is a nice size, at 7.5cm in diameter (9cm at the finial), with a ribbon drop of approximately 10cm. Presented nestled in a card gift box.
Discovered as a set of seven baubles, you’ll find the others for sale in my webshop too if you’d like a set; each one has the same pattern, but with subtle differences due to being hand-painted.
Please note the bauble is old and therefore shows some signs of ageing, elevating the vintage feel. As it is hand-blown, you’ll see a small mark on the base from this process - a really special piece of history! Handle with care - it is made of incredibly light glass.
