This pretty miniature paperweight features a traditionally slow-pressed forget-me-not flower, organically grown in my Worcestershire garden. The paperweight is 4cm in diameter, made from solid glass and finished with a moss-green coloured felt base. The glass gently magnifies the flower. It has been designed to have a vintage feel, with a gentle crackle/aged effect (it’s almost glittery!) that can be seen when viewing the paperweight from an angle. This ‘aged’ aesthetic will increase with the passing of time, as the flower gently fades to beautiful vintage tones.
The paperweight is finished in a presentation box, and contains a pretty little square of handmade paper detailing information about the symbolism behind the flower.
Forget-me-nots symbolise eternal love, remembrance and devotion.
